Pep Guardiola’s side may have celebrated a third consecutive Bundesliga title but punters are backing the Spanish side to get the better of their blockbuster Champions League tie
While Barcelona were always going to be the favourites in a home leg against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final, Tuesday evening’s games could not have been more of a contrast for the two clubs and the Catalan giants have been backed in to 5/6 (1.83) from Evens (2.0) with Paddy Power for their meeting on Wednesday.Luis Enrique’s side dispatched Getafe with aplomb, establishing a five goal advantage before half time and eventually running out 6-0 winners after allowing themselves a somewhat lower key second half which will have been ideal preperation with a European semi-final on the horizon.

Bayern lead their Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund too, but after Patrick-Emerick Aubameyang’s second half equaliser things went from bad to worse for the newly re-crowned German champions.
The match went into extra time and after an additional 30 minutes of play it was down to penalties to decide who would progress.
Pep Guariola’s side failed to register a successful effort during the shootout and their hopes of a potential treble capitulated, but perhaps the more worrying factor was that the latter stages of the game also saw Arjen Robben and Robert Lewandowski sustain injuries which could keep both players out of action until next season.
As a result of the news Paddy Power have cut Barcelona to 8/11 (1.73) to qualify from what originally had been an evenly matched affair according to the bookmakers. Bayern are now 16/5 (4.20) to win at the Camp Nou and 11/10 (2.10) to qualify for the final in Berlin.
While FCB expect Franck Ribery to return for the trip to Spain, the loss of Lewandowski and Robben in particular, will be keenly felt.

Guardiola is still without the services of David Alaba and Holger Badstuber and will be facing a Barcelona side with a relatively clean bill of health who appear to be firing on all cylinders, notching 15 wins and a draw from their last 16 games in all competitions while the attacking trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, surpassed the combined 100 goal mark in Wednesday win.....
